Trial Run

When you find the right bridal makeup artist you only need one trial run. The trial run is a very important part of the service. I’ll be able to find out your views on your makeup and I’ll create a makeup tailor made for you. I’ll listen to your ideas about how you would like to look on your wedding day, whilst offering advice and ideas of my own. A beautiful wedding makeup is about balance whether you want a natural or glamorous look. Take as much time as you like on your trial run, so you can be confident you’ll look your very best on the ‘Big Day’. On payment of the deposit you will get a copy of your plan of action detailing all your makeup choices. This will include a timetable to make sure both you and your bridal party will be ready in plenty of time on the big day. I understand that feeling right about your hair makeup is really important. It's a very personal thing your makeup has to be just right for you. There is no time limit for the trial run – I only finish when you are completely happy with your makeup probably best to allow at least 3 hours.

On Your Wedding Day

I shall arrive at your chosen destination in plenty of time to make a prompt start on the first person. The timings of the hair / make up will have already been discussed and planned during the trial, so everyone will be ready in ample time. Upon arrival I will start on the bridesmaids / mothers make up first. All eyes will be on you Don't worry! On your special day I will make sure you look and feel your absolute best. Believe it or not Your wedding dress is just an accessory YOU are the main feature of the day. With beautiful and makeup either natural, glamorous or somewhere in between everyone can feel confident and gorgeous On the big day you’re going to be excited and a bit nervous, so applying makeup is only part of my job. Ensuring you are ready on time and helping you to stay relaxed and calm is all part of my day. Whatever the size of your bridal party I’ll make sure everything runs smoothly on the wedding day. You will have your plan of action from the trial run so you can be sure both you and your bridal party will be ready in plenty of time. Most importantly you need a "look" that lasts the whole day, from the ceremony to the end of the night that’s where my expertise and years of experience as a wedding makeup artist come in. Relax you’re in good hands.

Frequently Asked Questions

What products do you use?

As a professional freelance make up artist I use a range of professional products including Chanel, Lancôme, Dior, Estee Lauder, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Clinique and Benefit amongst others. I also have a variety of professional make up palettes and make up brushes which enable me to cater for any look you wish.

All make up and make up brushes are cleaned and sterilised after each client. I do uphold a very strict hygienic approach to my work and use disposable applicators where possible.

How long does the make up last?

I use professional products and techniques to ensure your make up will last from noon till night. The only thing that may need topping up will be your lipstick / gloss.

How can I pay?

I prefer cash or cheque but you can pay me via a PayPal account if you wish.

I would like to treat someone to one of your services – do you do gift vouchers?

Yes I do. You can buy a gift card for any amount of money starting at £5 minimum. The gift cards are usable within 12 months from date of purchase.

Do you do hair styling?

unfortunately I don't touch hair as I like to ensure my skills and knowledge of makeup are my first priority.

What happens if I need to cancel a booking with you?

If you are cancelling a trial you will not incur any charges. If you are cancelling your wedding day makeup, your 50% deposit will be lost. If you are cancelling any other appointments such as a makeup lessons then you will not incur any charges for this.

Is there a time limit for the trial?

Not at all, I will work with you until you are completely happy with your look.

Should my makeup be done after my hair is styled?

Yes, it is best to your make-up done last so it still looks fresh.

I might need you to stay to touch up my makeup, is that possible?

Yes! However, we will need to work out the cost as it will be dependant on the amount of time you require me to stay.

How Many Trials Can I Have?

Clients usually require only one trial. If you require another trial at a later date, the additional trial fee is will be applied.

Do You Offer Eyelash Application?

I provide wedding parties with natural individual eyelash application for £10 per person.

Why Book A Make-up Artist Instead Of A Beauty Therapist Or Makeup Counter Consultant?

Wedding makeup is a specialist field as it incorporates aspects of photographic makeup. It is not just a finishing touch but a lasting impression on your wedding photos and video. Many beauticians have little or no photographic makeup knowledge (their experience lies in face and body treatments). Counter and party plan makeup consultants are experts in cosmetic sales but not necessarily makeup application. Often you are expected to purchase the makeup they used after your free (!) trial. Not the bargain it seems!

What Happens If You Are ILL On My Wedding Day?

In the extremely unlikely event that I am unable to make your wedding date due to illness or other emergency, I am in contact with other equally qualified make up artists who will be able to substitute for me. They will be fully briefed on your make up and look and as I keep a record and photographs of the make up and look decided at the trial, the same look can be recreated on your wedding day.
